​​lafotographe was founded in Marina Del Rey, California in 2008 by Ngoc Thē Tran. Ngoc graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor degree in Architecture. Being involved in the architecture field has led him to photography through the works of legendary architectural photographer, Julius Schulman. Ngoc found his design inspiration in Schulman’s photographs of some Modernist masterpieces. At the same time, he was more and more curious about each photograph and the story behind each image. As time went on, he had discovered that he had the yearning for photography. Ngoc decided to obtain a formal training in photography at Santa Monica College in Summer 2008; and since then, he has not looked back. His works focus on Art, Editorial, Fashion, Glamour, and Photojournalism photography.
